About the role#
Inteplast Group is hiring an Assistant Computer System Engineer for a rolling internship at our Lolita, Texas facility. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position for students currently pursuing degrees in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Write code for new projects and maintain existing systems.
- Provide daily IT support for hardware, software, networks, and servers.
- Update and revise technical documentation, including manuals and troubleshooting procedures.
- Manage HMI, PC, and PLC coding and upgrades.
- Assist with software and hardware integration, including calibration, wiring, and debugging.
- Complete other technical assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical or Electronic Engineering program.
- Strong coding skills with proficiency in at least one object-oriented language such as C, C++, C#, Java, Python, or VB.net.
- Experience with SQL databases and network administration.
- Familiarity with PC hardware and software.
- A basic understanding of PLC control, automation, and electronic circuits.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong research and analysis skills along with a desire to learn.
