About the role#
The Global Manufacturing Engineering team supports operations at our automated manufacturing facility in Acton, Massachusetts. This co-op role focuses on the hands-on development, troubleshooting, and optimization of manual and semi-automated assembly processes for next-generation products. You will work with cross-functional teams to solve urgent business problems, support root cause analysis, and drive process improvements.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and optimization of assembly equipment.
- Conduct hands-on lab testing, measurement, and data analysis.
- Write and execute protocols and reports.
- Study production equipment and drive process improvements.
- Generate tool files and write setup and operating procedures.
- Prepare new equipment for validation and support execution of IQ, TMV, OQ, and PQ activities.
- Design and prototype manufacturing aids.
- Scorecard production line efficiency, scrap, and downtime performance.
- Maintain inventory controls and provide kitting for ongoing builds.
What you'll need#
- Enrolled as a BS candidate in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
- Experience or interest in manufacturing automation, lab testing, and metrology.
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Minitab, JMP, and Excel.
- SolidWorks experience is preferred, and Pro/Engineer (Creo) experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in a Class 8 Cleanroom environment.

- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour.
