About the role#
The Institute for Justice is looking for a Winter Fundraising Intern to join our team in Arlington. This role supports our fundraising efforts as we work to protect civil liberties and fight government overreach. You will gain insight into how a nonprofit manages a fundraising operation of over $50 million.
What you'll do#
- Assist with various fundraising tasks.
- Write thank you letters to engage with our donors.
- Conduct online research to help cultivate new donors.
- Maintain our database and organize in-house files.

Location & details#
- This internship is based on-site at our headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.
- The term runs from mid-November 2027 through mid-February 2027.
- We require a commitment of 20 to 28 hours per week.
- This is a paid position at $15 per hour.
- There is a possibility to extend the internship into the Spring semester.
