About the role#
Indovinya is hiring a Chemical Engineering Intern for a summer role in Port Neches, Texas. This program provides technical experience within our production and process engineering teams. You will work in continuous production units, batch processes, or utilities while receiving mentorship and management supervision. The position runs from May to August, and you must be willing to commit to the full 10-week program.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support to assigned areas and assist engineers with daily tasks.
- Complete project assignments and present your findings to the Site Leadership Team at the end of the term.
- Provide regular status updates to your mentor.
- Ensure all activities comply with our integrated management system, including safety, health, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives and complete required training programs.
- Collaborate with team members across different backgrounds and support company goals.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment at an accredited university as a Junior or Senior by the end of Spring 2025, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Ability to obtain or possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and internet research.
- Knowledge of basic principles used in chemical plant manufacturing and analysis.
- Strong organizational, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build professional relationships across the organization.
- Awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
