About the role#
This internship provides Ilisagvik College students with professional experience and the opportunity to build local career connections. The role involves working within various departments at the college or with identified community partners to support ongoing programs and services. This is a temporary, part-time position for the Fall 2026 semester, requiring an average of 20 hours per week for a total of 200 hours.
What you'll do#
- Provide support on tasks and projects as assigned by your supervisor.
- Assist department staff with programs, services, and daily operations.
- Prepare project reports and progress summaries.
- Conduct special research in conjunction with specific projects and analyze the gathered data.
- Use software applications to create departmental communications and reports.
- Attend meetings and trainings to acquire new skills and knowledge.

- Current enrollment at Ilisagvik College.
- A minimum 2.0 GPA.
- Ability to travel periodically as required by the role.
- Strong punctuality and accountability.
- Ability to interact effectively in a multicultural environment and engage in Iñupiat cultural activities.
- Adherence to all college policies, regulations, and administrative directives.
- Capacity to multitask and maintain a professional, constructive attitude.
