About the role#
The Project Management Intern supports the planning, coordination, execution, and commissioning of the Bismarck Granule Manufacturing Plant project. You will work alongside project, engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure the safe and successful completion of construction and the transition to plant operations. This role offers hands-on experience with large-scale industrial construction, equipment installation, and startup activities.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate daily construction activities and communicate with contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Track project schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders while maintaining accurate project documentation.
- Monitor project progress, quality, cost performance, and compliance with requirements.
- Attend meetings, document action items, and assist in issue resolution.
- Support procurement, forecasting, and project closeout documentation.
- Assist with pre-commissioning, startup, and performance testing activities.
- Participate in equipment inspections, functional testing, troubleshooting, and punch list management.
- Prepare commissioning reports, testing records, and turnover packages.
- Support operational readiness efforts and employee training.
- Adhere to safety policies and participate in site inspections and safety meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in both office and industrial plant settings.
- Receptiveness to coaching and feedback.
- Previous internship, co-op, or coursework related to project management, construction, or industrial operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with project scheduling software like Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is an asset.
- Understanding of industrial equipment, manufacturing processes, and safety practices, including LOTO procedures.
- Exposure to granulation systems, conveyors, dryers, or material handling equipment is a plus.
- Interest in or possession of CAPM certification.

- Location: Bismarck, Missouri.
- Schedule: Full-time, day shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm.
- Duration: 12 months or longer.
