    About the role#

    IEWC is looking for a Demand Planning Intern to join the Materials Management team for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in demand forecasting, inventory planning, and data analysis. This role involves working with supply chain, sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure product availability and support business growth.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales data and market trends.
    • Analyze sales, inventory, and customer demand data to identify risks and opportunities.
    • Support monthly and weekly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
    • Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate planning metrics.
    • Monitor inventory levels to identify shortages, excess stock, or demand fluctuations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information that impacts forecasts.
    • Track forecast accuracy and perform root-cause analysis on variances.
    • Assist with data cleansing, master data maintenance, and process improvements.
    • Participate in meetings and offer recommendations based on your analysis.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Operations Management, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Self-motivation and a willingness to take initiative.
