About the role#
This internship focuses on systems assurance for IBM hardware and software technologies. You will work on projects involving microprocessors, AI LLM solutions, and infrastructure systems. This is a full-time, paid position with a hybrid work arrangement.
What you'll do#
- Install and test hardware systems hands-on.
- Validate and characterize processors and systems.
- Design and test firmware architectures.
- Analyze failures to improve system reliability.
- Automate test suites and simulate customer environments.
- Develop and document test plans and procedures.
- Install, configure, and validate AI Large Language Models.
- Contribute to internal and external code repositories.
- Support customers and field engineers with technical solutions.
- Collaborate with global development teams.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Understanding of client-server architectures and networking protocols.
- Experience with application development and databases.
- Ability to design scalable APIs, servers, services, and applications.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong communication, design, and testing skills.
- Curiosity, creativity, and a client-first mindset.
- Exposure to DevOps tools and practices.
- Basic understanding of front-end development principles and frameworks.
- Interest in L3 support engineering and debugging techniques.
