About the role#
Join the IBM Research design team to create content that highlights work across four strategic areas: Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, Hybrid Cloud, and Semiconductors. You will work alongside researchers, marketers, and other designers to tell stories about new technologies for global audiences.
What you'll do#
- Develop visual storytelling, digital content, and creative assets.
- Support the team by creating digital, print, and presentation materials.
- Assist with concept development and visual design execution.
- Maintain brand consistency across all projects.
- Contribute creative ideas throughout the design process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
What you'll need#
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for visual craft, including typography, layout, and composition.
- Fluency in interaction design and prototyping to refine design decisions.
- Experience driving design processes independently from discovery through launch.
- Ability to guide decisions using structured thinking and user-centered research.
- Experience researching, prototyping, or building products with AI and other emerging tools.
- A design and development hybrid background or experience building websites or apps.
- History of working on canvas-based interfaces or tools.
- Prior experience working with design systems.
