About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Chicago. You will join cross-functional teams to work on client projects, contributing to the entire product delivery life cycle. This role focuses on building your professional experience through hands-on technical work and collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Work with teams to understand requirements and define technical specifications.
- Document design decisions and technical specs.
- Develop scalable, reusable code.
- Champion code review processes and tools.
- Engage in full-stack, cloud-native development.
- Use design thinking to create products.
- Gain exposure to a diverse technical stack.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Accounting.
- A track record of academic success.
- Experience working within an Agile team structure.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage dynamic workloads.
- Leadership experience and a growth mindset.
- Initiative to seek new knowledge and take ownership of tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively through active listening.
- Exposure to JavaScript and at least one of the following: Java, C++, Python, Scala, R, SAS, SQL, HTML, SPSS, VBA, or Tableau.
- Familiarity with relational databases and an interest in database development.
- Curiosity regarding cloud platforms, web markup languages, container technology, and generative AI.
- Exposure to web services, APIs, and Java application frameworks.
- Knowledge of design patterns, performance tuning, and automated or unit testing.
- Exposure to SQL/PLSQL, cloud basics, integration patterns, data migration tools, reporting tools, and data visualization.
