About the role#
As a Co-Op Security Consultant, you will gain professional experience by working on client projects. This role focuses on continuous learning and mentorship, with the potential to advance to the associate program based on your performance. You will collaborate with teams to assist clients with market trends, operational improvements, and technical implementations.
What you'll do#
- Conduct primary research to help clients navigate market trends and refine strategies.
- Design models to support operational improvements.
- Participate in workshops, meetings, and interviews to document client requirements.
- Shadow product teams and assist with enterprise-wide data integrations.
- Contribute to data analytics assessments.
- Support cloud migration and system implementation tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university degree program with a strong academic record in Cybersecurity or a related field.
- Familiarity with network design, authentication, authorization techniques, and encryption standards.
- Experience or knowledge in security domains such as Threat Management, Data and Application Security, Identity & Access Management, or Cloud and Infrastructure Security.
- Proficiency or exposure to tools such as Java, Python, C/C++, Ruby, Go, bash, C#, or SharePoint.
- Knowledge of network security tools including vulnerability scanners, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- A creative and logical approach to identifying solutions for client challenges.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal clearance if required for your assignment.
- Resilience and an outcome-focused mindset.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in University Park, Pennsylvania.
- You must be able to work in the office during the academic year.
- Expected commitment is up to 20 hours per week during school sessions and up to 40 hours per week during academic breaks.
- This is a paid, full-time internship position.
