About the role#
IAT Insurance Group is hiring for an Actuary Internship in Naperville, Illinois. This is a full-time, paid summer program. You will gain experience working within our Actuary Business Unit.
What you'll do#
- Prepare actuarial reports that support month-end operations reviews.
- Learn the functions involved in rate development.
- Shadow subject matter experts to understand daily operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising sophomore, junior, graduating senior, or graduate student in Actuarial Science or a related degree like Mathematics or Statistics.
- You possess analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- You are willing to learn and can work independently.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This internship is based in Naperville, Illinois. You must be able to work from this office without relocation or housing assistance.
- The program runs for 10 weeks, from May 24, 2027, to July 30, 2027. You must be available for the entire duration.
- We operate on a hybrid schedule. Interns work from the office Monday through Wednesday, with the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.
