About the role#
IAT Insurance Group is hiring for an Actuary Internship in our Naperville, Illinois office. This is a full-time, paid summer role designed for students pursuing degrees in Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields. You will gain hands-on experience within our Actuary Business Unit over the course of a 10-week program.
What you'll do#
- Prepare actuarial reports that support month-end operations reviews.
- Learn the core functions of rate development.
- Shadow subject matter experts to understand daily actuarial workflows.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the team.
What you'll need#
- You must be a rising sophomore, junior, graduating senior, or graduate student in Actuarial Science or a related degree.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A willingness to learn and the ability to work independently.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- You must be able to work from our Naperville office without housing or relocation assistance.

- Location: Naperville, Illinois.
- Term: May 24, 2027, to July 30, 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with in-office work required Monday through Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.
