About the role#
The Software Data Engineering Intern will work on pharmacy fulfillment solutions and our enterprise data platform. You will participate in the software development lifecycle, including design, testing, and cloud-based development. Working with senior engineers, you will help build pipelines and models that assist with analytics and AI-enabled capabilities. This is a 10-week summer internship running from June 1, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Implement components of data warehousing systems and build ETL processes.
- Develop and enhance data solutions on Databricks to support analytics and machine learning.
- Create and maintain curated data models for business users and AI applications.
- Improve data metadata, definitions, and business context to make information easier to use.
- Participate in developing proof-of-concept AI and data solutions.
- Evaluate AI-generated queries for accuracy.
- Contribute to daily team meetings and technical documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on knowledge of SQL or TSQL.
- Experience with a modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Familiarity with tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Interest in data engineering, artificial intelligence, and solving real-world business problems.

- Location: Binghamton, New York.
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time internship.
- Compensation: $18.00 to $26.00 per hour.
