About the role#
iA is hiring a Software Development Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Binghamton, New York. You will work on pharmacy fulfillment solutions while gaining experience in software development and AI-assisted workflows. The internship runs from June 1, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Implement software components and deploy them on the Azure cloud under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for tasks like code generation, debugging, unit testing, and technical documentation.
- Design and develop proof-of-concept AI agents to assist with software engineering workflows.
- Evaluate AI-generated code for security, maintainability, and alignment with engineering standards.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, and testing.
- Attend daily team meetings and contribute to technical documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
- Programming experience with at least one language such as C#, Java, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms, plus coursework in object-oriented design.
- Interest in generative AI, large language models, AI agents, or AI-assisted development.
- Ability to work on-site in Binghamton, New York.
- Authorization to work in the United States. Please note that iA does not provide visa sponsorship.

- Compensation: $18.00 to $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
