About the role#
As a Cost Strategy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting cost accounting and manufacturing finance processes. You will work on real projects, receive mentorship, and build your professional network within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. This is a 10-week summer internship running from June 1, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily reviews of cost data reports to support accurate accounting activities.
- Review manufacturing variances and From/To postings to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Support weekly cycle count audits and inventory reconciliations to ensure operational alignment.
- Participate in month-end cost close activities and gain exposure to key controls.
- Assist with analysis related to Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Percentage of Completion (POC) costing.
- Partner with the Cost Accounting, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to support reporting and continuous improvement efforts.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Analytical mindset with a strong interest in cost accounting and manufacturing finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with data, reconciliations, and reporting tools.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarize findings clearly.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Preferred: Coursework or experience in accounting, finance, or manufacturing operations.
- Preferred: Familiarity with ERP systems or data analysis tools like Power BI and SQL.
