About the role#
This co-op position offers students the chance to gain practical work experience on engineering projects at our chemical manufacturing site. You will report to the Plant Engineering team and assist with various technical tasks to support branch operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical analysis for assigned projects.
- Assist in the implementation of capital projects and maintenance activities.
- Perform engineering clerical duties.
- Investigate and implement improvements related to costs, cycle times, energy reduction, and sustainability.
- Support effective communication across all departments to ensure team success.
- Maintain workload balances with staff and provide back-up support as directed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Chemical.
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft PowerPoint or equivalent software.
- Demonstrated leadership skills are preferred, as you may have the opportunity to lead installation crews.
