About the role#
Hy-Vee is hiring a Data Integration Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time position based at our corporate office in West Des Moines. You will work with our data team to support applications using Agile methodology.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the data team to receive technical guidance.
- Contribute to the design and development of data pipelines.
- Write unit tests for existing applications.
- Support research projects by retrieving and analyzing data using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Follow and help shape our coding standards.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing or have recently earned a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Management Information Systems.
- Knowledge of data development technologies.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
Location & details#
- This role is located on-site in West Des Moines, Iowa.
- The position is full-time, up to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to discuss other scheduling options.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
