About the role#
Huntington National Bank is seeking a legal intern for the Summer 2027 term. This program provides hands-on experience within our legal department, focusing on professional growth and the practical application of your legal studies. You will work directly with a manager and team to support meaningful business initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal memos.
- Review and interpret legal documents while supporting attorneys and paralegals.
- Observe various legal proceedings, including court arguments, depositions, and mediations.
- Provide recommendations to improve department processes.
- Collaborate with your manager on departmental initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a JD program at an accredited law school, preferably entering your 3L year.
- Undergraduate degree in Finance or Business Administration.
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities.
- Experience within a law firm, clerking, or conducting legal research.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
