About the role#
The PhD Winter Internship is a 3-week program designed to introduce graduate students to quantitative research. It is intended for individuals who do not have extensive experience in the quantitative trading industry. The program begins on January 4, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Learn about different trading styles from experts in the field.
- Complete independent research projects that reflect actual work at the firm.
- Train models on the company compute cluster.
- Join social events and tech talks.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a full-time PhD student in a technical or quantitative discipline like mathematics, physics, computer science, statistics, or computer engineering.
- You expect to graduate between fall 2027 and summer 2029.
- You have demonstrated programming experience, with a preference for Python or C++.
- You possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- You have a genuine interest in technology and are eager to learn new things.

- This internship is located in New York, New York.
- The role is on-site at the office.
- This is a paid position with a weekly base salary of $5,800.
- Company-paid housing and meals are provided.
