About the role#
Algorithm Developers focus on the research and implementation of automated trading strategies. You will have the opportunity to rotate across teams, working alongside researchers and technologists to solve complex problems. You will apply academic research to real-world trading challenges across various time horizons and machine learning strategies.
What you'll do#
- Use proprietary infrastructure in Python and C++ to conduct quantitative research and data analysis.
- Apply machine learning and time series techniques to derive insights on market behavior from large datasets.
- Run simulations and process data using our compute cluster.
- Build predictive models for financial markets using market and non-market data.
- Participate in Tech Talks, mentorships, trading games, and social events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time PhD student in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, physics, computer science, statistics, or operations research.
- Fluency in Python.
- Experience with statistical analysis, numerical programming, or machine learning using tools like Pandas, Numpy, R, or MATLAB.
- Strong communication skills.
- Interest in applying research expertise to identify new opportunities in worldwide markets.
