About the role#
Algorithm Developers at Hudson River Trading research and implement automated trading strategies. You will rotate between high-frequency, mid-frequency, and machine learning teams. Working alongside mentors, you will use quantitative modeling to predict market behavior and write software to improve trading strategies.
What you'll do#
- Research and implement automated trading strategies.
- Use proprietary infrastructure to conduct quantitative research and data analysis.
- Apply machine learning and time series techniques to derive insights from complex datasets.
- Collaborate with researchers, traders, and developers on projects.
- Run simulations and process data using our compute cluster.
- Build predictive models for financial markets.
- Participate in Tech Talks, trading games, and mentorship programs.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment as an undergraduate or master’s student in a quantitative field like Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Statistics.
- Experience programming in Python.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, numerical programming, or machine learning using Python, Pandas, Numpy, R, or MATLAB.
- Strong communication skills.
- Interest in applying quantitative models to solve real-world problems.
- C++ skills are desired for those interested in low-latency trading.
