About the role#
The Hardware team at Hudson River Trading builds high performance compute engines using FPGA and ASIC technologies to drive low latency trading decisions. You will work on independent projects that explore both design and verification roles within our trading infrastructure. This internship provides exposure to custom solutions ranging from bespoke circuits to machine learning accelerators.
What you'll do#
- Create hardware using SystemVerilog.
- Build complex modeling and testing environments in Python.
- Deep dive into hardware design and verification environments through independent projects.
- Learn about FPGA and ASIC technology.
- Gain an understanding of research, trading infrastructure, and financial markets.
What you'll need#
- Full-time student in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related program.
- Expected graduation in 2028 with plans to seek full-time roles.
- Understanding of digital logic design or computer architecture.
- Experience with a hardware design language like SystemVerilog.
- Familiarity with C++ and Python.
- Proficiency in Linux and the command prompt.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Curiosity about how technology works under the hood.
- Familiarity with FPGAs or ASICs is a plus.
- Exposure to hardware verification flows like UVM or tools like cocotb is a plus.
