About the role#
The Center for Strategy and American Statecraft is looking for an intern for the Spring 2027 term. This role provides research and administrative support to experts working on foreign policy issues, including the Indo-Pacific, the war in Ukraine, and the war in Israel. Interns will engage in discussions with scholars and attend public events at the institute.
What you'll do#
- Perform background research for weekly columns and podcasts.
- Gather and analyze data for reports and articles.
- Keep the team updated on current events.
- Assist experts with research projects, presentations, and briefing memos.
- Support the team with administrative tasks and event coordination.
What you'll need#
- Current student or recent graduate in political science, international relations, economics, security studies, history, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in American foreign policy, public policy, and workforce politics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong research, writing, editing, and analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Professional, reliable, and detail-focused approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to research new topics across various regional foci.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week.
