About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience with WordPress development. You will support the maintenance and creation of sites by building custom themes and plugins. This position is a full-time, paid opportunity for students to learn and grow within the IT department.
What you'll do#
- Build and customize WordPress themes and plugins.
- Fix bugs and troubleshoot existing site issues.
- Improve site performance using efficient code.
- Apply responsive design principles for mobile and desktop users.
- Manage content migration across various WordPress sites.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Web Development, or related degree program.
- Working knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins.
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML, and CSS.
- Familiarity with JavaScript.
- Experience using Git for version control.
