About the role#
Product Engineer Interns work within our manufacturing plants in Whitehall, MI. This summer program lasts 10-14 weeks and focuses on hands-on training. You will work on projects that add direct value to our business operations. At the end of the program, you will present your work to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors. We use this program to evaluate interns for potential entry-level roles.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering and manufacturing teams with quality and delivery performance improvements.
- Implement process control and improvement initiatives.
- Focus on tooling and dimensional yield.
- Participate in plant tours, lunch and learn seminars, and networking events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Completion of at least sophomore level coursework by May 2027.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team.
- Previous internship, work, or research experience is a plus.
