About the role#
As an intern on the Corporate Environmental and Sustainability team, you will spend 12 weeks working directly with our strategists in Pittsburgh. You will support manufacturing operations by focusing on waste, water, air toxics, climate resiliency, and biodiversity. This role involves tackling real-world challenges through data analysis and the development of actionable business cases.
What you'll do#
- Complete an intern impact project, documenting your process and presenting a financial business case to management.
- Analyze trends across manufacturing operations to identify potential solutions.
- Benchmark performance against top industrial peers.
- Find new outlets for materials previously treated as waste.
- Help organize data and define data management needs.
- Support daily corporate environmental tasks and develop strategies for corporate targets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Environmental Management, EHS, Sustainable Business, or Engineering.
- Expected graduation in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028 with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Demonstrated experience through internships, work, or research.
- Strong skills in data analysis, internet research, and business case development.
- Involvement in at least one extracurricular activity.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Preferred: Enrollment in a Master’s program, previous industrial experience, and a strong interest in a career in sustainability.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- The internship takes place during Summer 2027.
- A relocation stipend of $3,600 is available for students living more than 50 miles from the office.
