About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in manufacturing operations at our Laporte facility. You will work directly with engineering teams to support production, improve processes, and manage product integrity.
What you'll do#
- Support manufacturing through process control and improvement initiatives.
- Develop new investment casting products and refine existing ones to reduce scrap, rework, and costs.
- Maintain product integrity for assigned projects.
- Create and document part-specific work instructions.
- Manage external and internal customer contacts.
- Track job costs and implement plans to improve profitability.
- Assist engineering and manufacturing teams in completing assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS degree program in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, or Operations Management.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Ability to obtain access to export-controlled items.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
- Experience with casting or metal fabrication is a plus.
