About the role#
We are looking for a student to join our plant in Brea, California, as an Engineering Intern. This role focuses on Environmental Health and Safety initiatives. You will work with the engineering, EHS, and manufacturing teams to improve safety through process control and improvement projects.
What you'll do#
- Drive FMEA action throughout the shop.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet department goals.
- Talk with the hourly workforce to identify safety risks and develop solutions.
- Complete projects as directed by the engineering and EHS teams.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related Engineering field.
- Completion of at least Sophomore level coursework.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship.
- Proof of active student status.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- Analytical skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Previous internship, work, or research experience is a plus.
