About the role#
Hone is seeking a Data Engineering Intern to join our data team for the Fall 2026 term. You will report to the Senior Director of Data, Analytics & Machine Learning and work closely with engineers, analysts, and product teams to support the design, development, and maintenance of our data systems. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with a modern data stack while building scalable pipelines and analytics-ready datasets.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Microsoft Fabric.
- Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources to ensure quality and consistency.
- Develop and maintain data models and transformations using dbt.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot data infrastructure to ensure performance and scalability.
- Participate in data quality checks, testing, validation, and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of SQL and experience querying relational databases.
- Proficiency in Python and an interest in distributed data processing.
- Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, or analytics engineering concepts.
- Exposure to or coursework involving data pipeline orchestration or ETL development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
