About the role#
Hone is looking for a Data Engineering Intern to join our data team for the Fall 2026 term. You will report to the Senior Director of Data, Analytics & Machine Learning. This role focuses on the design, development, and maintenance of data systems and pipelines. You will work with engineers, analysts, and product teams to ensure data remains accurate, reliable, and accessible across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Microsoft Fabric.
- Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources.
- Develop and maintain data models and transformations using dbt.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot data infrastructure to ensure performance and scalability.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of SQL and experience querying relational databases.
- Proficiency in Python and an interest in distributed data processing.
- Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, or analytics engineering concepts.
- Exposure to or coursework involving data pipeline orchestration or ETL development.
