About the role#
As an IT Support Intern, you will help keep our systems running for all employees. You will resolve technical issues, set up equipment, and assist with IT requests while working as part of a team. This is an 8-month, full-time co-op position for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Receive and respond to IT support requests via phone, email, web, or in person.
- Document user information and track issues using IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.
- Set up user accounts, configure hardware, and provide basic training for new hires.
- Assist with collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices.
- Help deactivate accounts and collect equipment when employees leave the company.
- Support virtual machines, operating systems, and related services.
- Participate in team knowledge sharing and quality assurance activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a computer science or related college or university program.
- Basic knowledge of Office 365, SharePoint, and mobile platforms.
- Familiarity with Microsoft and administrative technologies including Active Directory, Azure/Entra AD, DNS, and Exchange.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic network issues.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
