About the role#
This position is exclusively for current or former HNTB interns. As a Returning New Grad Engineer I, you will contribute to the delivery of complex infrastructure projects by applying engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria. You will work in partnership with project teams to perform research, development, and design tasks across various project sizes and complexities. This is a full-time, paid role available for the Winter or Summer 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Support the preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
- Assist in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
- Support engineering teams with research, data collection, field investigations, and administrative organization of design files.
- Develop conceptual and detailed designs using current technical tools and software.
- Complete all assigned work within the provided schedule and hours.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering principles relevant to your discipline.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
- A Master's degree in Engineering is preferred.
- EIT certification is preferred.
