About the role#
This is a returning internship position for Summer 2026 within the Great Lakes Division. This role is exclusively for current or former HNTB interns. You will support various departments and projects by performing entry-level engineering tasks that align with standard post-secondary engineering curricula. Please note that relocation and housing assistance are not provided for this position.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams with daily tasks and project duties.
- Support research, development, and design efforts for ongoing projects.
- Prepare engineering drawings and documentation as directed.
- Handle additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical major).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Foundational knowledge of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for project documents.
- Ability to accept and apply direction from peers and supervisors.
- Understanding of introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.
