About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer 2026 internship opportunity within the Great Lakes Division. This position is open exclusively to current or former HNTB interns. Please note that relocation and housing assistance are not provided for this role.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams with various tasks and duties.
- Support engineers with the research, development, and design of projects.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering).
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for drawings or other documents.
- Ability to accept and apply direction from peers and supervisors.
- Understanding of introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.
