About the role#
This is a returning internship opportunity for Summer 2026 within the Great Lakes Division. This position is open exclusively to current or former HNTB interns. You will support engineering teams by performing fundamental tasks that mirror standard post-secondary engineering curriculum. Please note that relocation and housing assistance are not provided.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams with daily tasks and project duties.
- Support the research, development, and design phases of infrastructure projects.
- Help prepare engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support project goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering).
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Foundational understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for project documentation.
- Ability to accept and apply direction from peers and supervisors.
- Completion of at least two years of an engineering program is preferred.
