About the role#
This is a returning internship position for Summer 2027 within the Central Division. It is open only to current or former HNTB interns. You will work under close supervision to support departments in science, planning, and technology. This is a paid, part-time, and temporary role.
What you'll do#
- Assist project team members with day-to-day support tasks.
- Conduct basic research and gather data.
- Maintain project records, collections, and files.
- Help create graphics, reports, and presentation materials.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a related undergraduate or graduate program.
- A strong interest in transportation and infrastructure.
- An interest in working with technology and innovation across all modes of transportation.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is preferred.

- Locations: Austin, Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, Houston, Plano, Round Rock, and San Antonio, Texas; Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana; Des Moines, Iowa; Kansas City and St. Louis, Missouri; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Overland Park, Kansas.
