About the role#
This position is open to current and former HNTB interns for the Winter or Summer 2027 terms. You will work on infrastructure projects by assisting with design calculations, technical reports, and project specifications. This is a full-time, on-site role that requires legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Complete all assigned work within the provided schedule.
- Support the preparation and modification of project reports, designs, and calculations.
- Assist in the development of project quantity and cost estimates.
- Provide administrative and organizational support for design files.
- Assist engineering teams with research, data collection, and field investigations.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Environmental), Architecture, or Graphic Design.
- Understanding of engineering principles relevant to your discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with MicroStation or AutoCAD.

This role is based on-site in one of the following locations: Austin, Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, Houston, Plano, Round Rock, or San Antonio, Texas; Baton Rouge or New Orleans, Louisiana; Des Moines, Iowa; Kansas City, Overland Park, or St. Louis, Missouri; Little Rock, Arkansas; or Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
