About the role#
This internship position is based in our New York City office for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site to assist our highway and traffic engineering teams with project research, design, and documentation. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering teams with daily tasks and project duties.
- Help with the research, development, and design of various infrastructure projects.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Handle other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
- Basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for project documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to accept and apply direction from peers and supervisors.
- A basic understanding of shop drawing and submittal procedures.
We prefer candidates who have completed at least two years of a civil engineering program. Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus, as is a strong interest in transportation and infrastructure.
