About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in one of our West Florida offices to support our Traffic, Drainage, or Roadway departments. This role involves performing basic engineering tasks that align with your post-secondary curriculum.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams with daily tasks and project duties.
- Help with the research, development, and design of various projects.
- Prepare engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
- Perform basic engineering calculations.
- Organize information for use in technical drawings and project documents.
- Learn introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program, preferably with at least two years completed.
- Basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interest in transportation and infrastructure.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus.
- Ability to accept and apply direction from supervisors and peers.

- Locations: Tampa, Bartow, Tallahassee, and Chipley, Florida.
