About the role#
HNTB is hiring an Intern Engineer for the Bridge Design team in New York City for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position. You will work on infrastructure projects and support our engineering staff with daily tasks.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering teams with project research, development, and design.
- Prepare engineering drawings and related documentation.
- Complete various engineering tasks as assigned by the team.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program (Civil Engineering majors preferred).
- Basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for project documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Completion of at least two years of a civil engineering program is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus.
- A strong interest in transportation and infrastructure.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with an approximate pay range of $26.34 to $39.50 per hour.
