About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support engineering teams on infrastructure projects. You will work within departments such as Traffic and Planning, Roadway, Structures, Drainage, Rail, and Construction. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams with daily tasks and project duties.
- Help with the research, development, and design of various projects.
- Prepare engineering drawings and documents as directed.
- Perform basic engineering tasks that reflect your academic coursework.
- Organize information for use in technical documents and drawings.
- Apply direction from supervisors and peers to learn shop drawing and submittal procedures.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
- Basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.
- Completion of at least two years of an engineering program is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is preferred.
Location & details#
- Work is on-site at our Florida offices in Lake Mary, Kissimmee, Jacksonville, or Green Cove Springs.
- This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
