About the role#
HNTB is hiring Intern Engineers for the Summer 2027 term in Scott Depot, West Virginia. This is a full-time, paid internship. You will work with our Structures, Roadway, and Construction teams on infrastructure projects. Please note that relocation and housing assistance are not provided.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams with daily tasks and project duties.
- Help with the research, development, and design of various projects.
- Prepare engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
- Perform other duties as required to support the team.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for documents.
- A basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Familiarity with introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A willingness to accept and apply direction from supervisors and peers.
- Preference is given to students who have completed at least two years of a civil engineering program.
- Knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD is preferred.
- A strong interest in transportation and infrastructure is preferred.
