About the role#
We are looking for Intern Engineers to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. This role supports our departments in Water Resources, Roadway, Structures, Transportation Planning, ITS, Tolling, and Construction Management. You will perform basic engineering tasks that align with your post-secondary curriculum while working alongside our professional teams.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams with daily tasks and project duties.
- Help engineers with the research, development, and design of various projects.
- Prepare engineering drawings and related documentation.
- Complete other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
- A basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- The ability to perform basic engineering calculations and organize information for project documents.
- An understanding of introductory shop drawing and submittal requirements.
- A willingness to accept and apply direction from peers and supervisors.
- Completion of at least two years of a civil engineering program is preferred.
- Knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD is preferred.
- A strong interest in transportation and infrastructure is preferred.
