About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Nashville, Tennessee. You will work on-site under close supervision to support our departments with planning, technology, and science projects. This role is designed for students interested in infrastructure and transportation.
What you'll do#
- Assist project team members with day-to-day support tasks.
- Conduct basic research and collect data for specific projects.
- Develop maps, exhibits, presentation materials, and reports.
- Maintain project records, collections, and files.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a related undergraduate or graduate program.
- Familiarity with GIS applications such as ArcGIS Pro, FieldMaps, and Experience Builder.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in transportation planning.
- Ability to communicate clearly through visual and written documentation.
- Strong teamwork abilities and an interest in the environment and infrastructure.
