About the role#
HNTB is hiring for a Civil Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Houston, Texas. Interns will work on projects across various departments including Construction, Transit, Roadway, Structures, Highway, Hydrology, Traffic, and Transportation Planning. Please note that relocation and housing assistance are not provided for this role.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering teams with daily tasks and project duties.
- Support the research, development, and design of infrastructure projects.
- Prepare engineering drawings and documents under supervision.
- Perform basic engineering calculations.
- Organize technical information for use in drawings and project documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program, with a preference for students who have completed at least two years of coursework.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to accept and apply direction from supervisors and peers.
