About the role#
This Accounting Co-Op position supports the Production Regulatory group in Houston. You will assist analysts with daily production operations, clerical tasks, and regulatory reporting. The role provides hands-on experience in production accounting, data management, and regulatory compliance within the oil and gas industry.
What you'll do#
- Prepare monthly state and federal reports for oil, gas, and water production.
- Enter and update production information, well attributes, and gas analyses.
- Support the preparation of state well tests and routine regulatory filings.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation between production systems and reports.
- Coordinate, scan, and maintain regulatory files and electronic records.
- Research production discrepancies and help resolve data issues.
- Support special projects related to data cleanup, system testing, and reporting improvements.
- Demonstrate company values including integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment, and innovation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor degree program at an accredited four-year university or college.
- Coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Ability to work on-site in Houston, Texas.
- Commitment to maintaining regular attendance and punctuality.
