PROJECT MANAGEMENT ANALYST SKILLBRIDGE INTERN

About the role#

This is an unpaid internship through the Hire Vets Now (HVN) SkillBridge Program, designed for transitioning active-duty U.S. military personnel. The program provides an opportunity to gain real-world experience during the final 180 days of active-duty service. Interns work closely with mentors and senior leadership on meaningful projects aligned with their military training, education, and experience, with the goal of preparing for potential full-time, permanent employment.

What you'll do#

• Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects.
• Serve as a liaison between project management, planning, project teams, and line management.
• Review project status and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress, intervention, and problem-solving.
• Gain understanding of OCC support, submarine fundamentals, and SUBSAFE processes, including Reentry Certifications (REC) tracking.
• Utilize tools such as SAP and Microsoft Office applications for logistics and material tracking.
• Monitor vendor cost and performance relative to schedules and contracts.

What you'll need#

• Active-duty military personnel within their final 180 days of service.
• Transitioning military candidates may begin applying within their final 12 months of service.
• Education and experience levels are dependent on the specific Program of Instruction.
• Majors in Business Administration or Operations Management are relevant to this role.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
