About the role#
HII is seeking a Corporate Communications Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based at our corporate office in Newport News, Virginia. You will work on-site for a minimum of 10 weeks, committing to a 40-hour work week.
What you'll do#
- Support communications needs as they arise.
- Focus on advertising and branding initiatives.
- Edit documents and complete writing assignments.
- Gather photos and videos for company use.
- Assist with event planning and execution.
- Develop content for social media and other platforms.
- Provide website support.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year college or university, or a 2+2 program.
- Status as a rising Junior or above, or current enrollment in a relevant Master's program.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Academic background in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Communications, Marketing, English, or Human Resources.
- Coursework in the field of Communications is preferred.
- US citizenship is required.
