    About the role#

    This internship provides students the opportunity to gain experience in technical or administrative positions within Ingalls Shipbuilding. You will work on-site in Pascagoula, Mississippi, for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position.

    What you'll do#

    • Gain practical experience in an engineering environment.
    • Access various work sites, including areas aboard ships in different stages of construction or overhaul.
    • Navigate work environments that may require the use of vertical and inclined ladders, as well as limited kneeling, stooping, or standing.

    What you'll need#

    • Be at least 18 years of age by mid-May 2027.
    • Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering degree program.
    • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
    • Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for the fall semester following the internship.
    • Ability to successfully complete a criminal background investigation, a physical, and a hair follicle drug screen.
    • Provide your school name, degree program, anticipated graduation date, current academic level, and overall GPA when applying.
