About the role#
This is an unpaid internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program, designed for transitioning active-duty US military personnel within their final 180 days of service. You will train as a Senior Technical Data Maintenance Technician, supporting AFLCMC/WB weapon system programs. Under the guidance of logistics and engineering leads, you will gain hands-on experience in technical data development, sustainment planning, life-cycle logistics, and technical order processes. All work is for training purposes and is reviewed and validated by HII employees.
What you'll do#
- Support technical data reviews, TO updates, logistics analysis, sustainment documentation, and depot-related planning activities.
- Assist in developing, updating, and validating technical data and IETM content.
- Support LCSP development, LSA tasks, and sustainment engineering inputs.
- Translate your aircraft maintenance experience into technical data and sustainment requirements.
- Participate in capstone projects, professional development, and cross-functional collaboration with logistics and engineering teams.
What you'll need#
- Active-Duty Military status within the final 180 days of service.
- Minimum of 10 years of logistics-relevant DoD experience.
- 10 years of verifiable experience maintaining military aircraft in a flight line environment.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a SAP and/or SCI environment.
- Expert knowledge in maintaining aircraft electrical and environmental (E&E) systems.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
