About the role#
This is an unpaid internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program, specifically designed for transitioning active-duty US military personnel. The role is based within the Warfare Systems group at HII Mission Technologies. Participants will train as a Software Engineer, reporting to a supervisor to gain practical experience in hardware and software analysis within a cleared environment.
What you'll do#
- Train on fundamental reverse engineering techniques and industry tools.
- Develop competency in FPGA design software and hardware description languages.
- Gain hands-on experience with object-oriented programming in C++ and Python.
- Contribute to live projects involving microelectronics trust and assurance.
- Learn to document and integrate discoveries into existing codebases.
- Develop test suites to validate code functionality.
- Participate in collaborative development practices, including code reviews and version control workflows.
- Adhere to DoD and cleared facility work environment protocols.
What you'll need#
- Active-Duty Military status within the final 180 days of service.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- The ability to obtain a US DoD issued security clearance.
