About the role#
The Construction Co-Op program introduces college students to both office and field operations within the commercial construction industry. During this summer rotation, you will work alongside project managers, superintendents, and consulting professionals to gain hands-on experience in how construction projects move from design to reality. This position is based in Warren, New Jersey, and offers exposure to a variety of construction tasks.
What you'll do#
- Learn and interpret project design drawings and specifications.
- Capture and document site photographs to record construction progress.
- Assist the project team in preparing and maintaining Request for Information (RFI) logs.
- Prepare daily reports summarizing project activities.
- Attend safety meetings, walkthroughs, and weekly toolbox talks.
- Prepare weekly meeting minutes for subcontractor and project meetings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program for Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- A strong desire to pursue a career in construction management.
- Strong competency in business writing.
- Proficiency in or a willingness to learn construction-related software.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Note: This position requires a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in various weather conditions, and navigate active construction sites including ladders, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
